India does not need more graduates, but more people who can deliver.

Bhartiya Skill Development University was founded precisely out of this conviction. In the latest video, Prof. Sanjay Goel, President of BSDU, explains why the university is pursuing a different path than many traditional universities.

Education with a clear purpose

The BSDU was founded to systematically develop professional skills.

The combination of education, practice and the world of work therefore forms the basis of the BSDU training model. It creates the prerequisites for professional skills and sustainable integration into modern working environments.

Learning and practice belong together

Knowledge develops its value through application.

At BSDU, students learn in laboratories, workshops and practical learning environments. Learning and application develop together right from the start. In this way, professional competence is developed through experience, practice and implementation.

Inspired by the Swiss dual education system

The BSDU training model is inspired by proven principles of the Swiss dual education system and is continuously adapted to the requirements of India.

The focus is on the systematic connection between education and the world of work. Theory, practice and professional application are not considered separately, but are consciously linked. This connection has shaped the university’s educational architecture to this day.

Conclusion

The BSDU sees professional skills development as a process that can be shaped. For this reason, education, practice and the world of work are not seen as separate areas, but as interrelated elements of a common educational architecture.

This basic idea characterizes the development of the university and its contribution to the development of an efficient specialist base in India.
