In brief

In addi­ti­on to theo­ry les­sons, stu­dents are taught prac­ti­cal skills by qua­li­fied ins­truc­tors. You can train and app­ly the­se on high-qua­li­ty machi­nes. The prac­ti­cal les­sons are held in small groups (maxi­mum 15 peo­p­le) and seve­ral trai­ners are on site to accom­pa­ny the stu­dents. The pre­ce­ding theo­ry les­sons are illus­tra­ted by prac­ti­cal appli­ca­ti­on. The trai­ning is sup­ple­men­ted by intern­ships in indus­try.

Goals

  • App­ly what you have lear­ned in theo­ry les­sons in prac­ti­ce
  • Prac­ti­cing as if you were in the indus­try
  • One machi­ne per per­son
  • Be able to prepa­re and plan the work
  • Good know­ledge of CNC pro­gramming and machi­ning
  • Acqui­re know­ledge about design, mea­su­re­ment tech­no­lo­gy and qua­li­ty
  • Pre­pa­ra­ti­on for indus­try (pro­duc­ti­vi­ty, evo­lu­ti­on, poly­va­lence)

Semester

  • 1./3. and 5th semes­ter full-time trai­ning at the BSDU (80% prac­ti­ce, 20% theo­ry)
  • 2./4. and 6th semes­ter in the indus­try. Scho­lar­ships from com­pa­nies pos­si­ble.

Degrees

(Ent­ry and exit pos­si­ble after each semes­ter)

  • Cer­ti­fi­ca­te (6 months)
  • Diplo­ma (12 months)
  • Advan­ced diplo­ma (24 months)
  • Bache­lor’s degree in voca­tio­nal trai­ning (36 months)

Career opportunities

Stu­dents can pur­sue a care­er as a poly­me­cha­nic, sheet metal and wel­ding spe­cia­list, assem­bly and main­ten­an­ce spe­cia­list or tool­ma­ker in the pri­va­te, public and sta­te sec­tors.

Infrastructure and equipment

The trai­ning cen­ter offers the latest machi­nes from Ita­ly, Aus­tria, Switz­er­land, Japan, etc.
